The Smoky Mountains are truly a motorcycle road paradise. Not only do the roads twist and snake through some of the most beautiful scenery anywhere, small towns and recreational areas abound.
While touring you are often faced with rides of 300 mile or more just to get to the next "good" riding area. In the Smokies it's easy to have an incredible riding day and barely turn over 150 miles. All this with food, lodging and services almost always within an hours ride.
Additionally off the bike activities abound. Go hiking, white water rafting, try your luck at gem mining or just enjoy the peaceful beauty in one of the many parks.
Some of the Most Motorcycle Friendly Territory You'll Ever Find Motorcycle touring has become a major industry in many of the small towns in area. Motorcycle campgrounds and museums can be found throughout the area, as well as numerous rallies during the riding season. Many hotels provide special parking and even bike washing facilities.
